Therapy for Relationships
Not all relationship challenges happen at home. Friendships, workplace dynamics, and social circles can carry their own unique stresses. From feeling overlooked, misunderstood, or taken for granted, to wondering whether you’re too much or not enough. These interactions can be especially complicated when past trauma, ongoing anxiety, or low self-esteem are in the mix, often triggering old patterns of self-doubt, withdrawal, or overcompensation. You may find yourself caught between wanting genuine connection and fearing rejection. Noticing that the closer you try to get to others, the more uneasy or anxious you feel. Over time, these patterns can leave you feeling isolated, frustrated, or unsure of how to show up authentically in your relationships.
With formal training in Internal Family Systems, I help clients uncover and work with the parts of themselves that influence how they relate to others. In our sessions, we explore the internal dynamics that drive overthinking, people-pleasing, or difficulties with boundaries. Helping bring awareness to what often operates beneath the surface. By understanding these patterns and the underlying emotions, you gain the insight needed to respond intentionally instead of reactively. Giving you greater freedom and control in your relationships.
Through this work, you’ll develop practical skills and strategies to navigate social interactions with more confidence, ease, and emotional clarity. Finding yourself with healthier boundaries, reduced relational anxiety, and approaching friendships, professional relationships, and community connections in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
Ultimately, therapy provides a space to cultivate relationships where you can show up fully as yourself. A space you feel seen, understood, and supported while building deeper, more meaningful connections.
